Florida switch for Grade 1 winner Shakespeare

GRADE 1 winner Shakespeare will relocate to Signature Stallions in Florida next season. The eight-year-old son of Theatrical has stood the past two seasons alongside his sire at Hill 'n' Dale Farm in Kentucky, this year at a fee of $10,000.

Signature Stallions is owned by William Schettine, who campaigned Shakespeare with Dell Ridge Farmto win seven of eight starts and over $1.2m in earnings.

Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, Shakespeare won his first five starts including the Grade 1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic from English Channel. He concluded his career with a win in theGrade 1 Woodbine Mile over Kip Deville.

Out of the Grade 1 Flower Bowl Handicap heroine Lady Shirl, Shakespeare's further family includes Woodman and Private Account.

Shakespeare joins a roster of six stallions at Signature Stallions including Chapel Royal.
