First winner for top two-year-old Sebring

GOLDEN Slipper Stakes winner Sebring was represented by his first winner on Saturday when Bring A Ring broke her maiden at Morphettville in Australia.

The Tony McEvoy-trained filly made all the running and quickened clear to win by a length-and-a-half.

A A$70,000 Magic Millions yearling purchase by McEvoy Mitchell Racing, Bring A Ring is the third winner out of stakes heroine Hennessy Waltz.

Sebring was a brilliant two-year-old for Gai Waterhouse, winning the Golden Slipper Stakes and AJC Sires Produce Stakes. In all, the son of More Than Ready won five of six starts and over A$2.5 million in prize-money. As a result, he was the early A$1.65 favourite with Sportingbet Australia to be the most successful Australian first season sire of 2012-13 by individual winners.

He stands at Widden Stud in Australia for A$33,000.
