First winner for top juvenile Linda's Lad

LINDA'S Lad, who won the 2005 Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud for Andre Fabre, was represented by his first winner on Sunday when Linda Queen broke her maiden over a mile at Granville in France.

Bred, owned and trained by Eric Aubree, the filly is a half-sister to three winners including classy hurdler Hinterland and out of multiple winner Queen Place, a daughter of Diamond Prospect.

Linda Queen is one of two runners and 47 foals from the first crop of Linda's Lad. In addition to the Criterium de Saint-Cloud, the son of Sadler's Wells was also successful in the Group 3 Lingfield Derby Trial and Group 3 Prix de Conde. He stands at Haras de Grandcamp for €2,500.
