First winner for Patinack sire Casino Prince

PATINACK Farm's foundation sire Casino Prince was represented by his first winner on Saturday when the debut filly Casino Card powered home to win over 1100m at the Gold Coast.

Trained by Matthew Dunn, Casino Card (Casino Prince x Absolute Lure, by Lure) sold for just A$1500 as a yearling.

Casino Card boasts a high class international pedigree as she is inbred to Danzig, a cross growing in its influence around the world.

A Group 1 winner by champion sire Flying Spur, Casino Prince went close to getting his first stakes-placed two-year-old on Saturday when Sookie finished a luckless fourth in the Group 3 B J McLachlan Plate at Doomben.

Having her second start Sookie (ex Purple Blood, by Encosta de Lago) ran home from well off the pace to just miss third place behind the classy trio of Driefontain, Sizzling and Snipzu.
