First winner for
Ispahan hero Sageburg

SAGEBURG, winner of the 2008 Prix d'Ispahan for the Aga Khan, was represented by his first winner on Sunday when Peace Burg took the 6f juvenile maiden at Maisons-Laffitte by three lengths.

Peace Burg carries the colours of her breeder, Ecurie D. Primes, and is a half-sister to four winners included the Listed-placed Peace Dream. They are out of Peace Talk, an unraced Sadler's Wells half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner and successful sire Pistolet Bleu.

Sageburg enjoyed his finest moment when successful by two-and-a-half lengths over the top filly Darjina in the 2008 Prix d'Ispahan. The son of Johannesburg, who is related to Arc hero Sagamix, was also a Listed winner at three and ran third behind Duke Of Marmalade in the Prix Ganay and third behind Goldikova in the Prix du Moulin.

In addition to Peace Burg, his first crop of two-year-olds contains recent Group 3 Prix du Bois third Sage Flower.

Sageburg stands at Haras de la Gatine for €3,000.
