The Christophe Ferland-trained colt was bred in France by Mme L. Monfort and purchased by owner Simon Springer for €30,000 at last year's Arqana August Sale. A half-brother to the Listed-placed Preferred Yield, Dabirsim is out of Rumored, a placed daughter of Royal Academy and Oaks d'Italia heroine Bright Generation.

Eight-time winner Hat Trick was imported from his native Japan to stand at Walmac International in Kentucky in 2008. One of only two sons of Sunday Silence at stud in the US, Hat Trick is standing the current season for $6,000, less than half the $15,000 he commanded in his first year at stud.
