First winner for former Shadwell runner Shahin

SHAHIN, who ran second in the 2007 Princess Of Wales's Stakes for Marcus Tregoning, sired his first winner on Saturday when Secretry In Black won the 5f newcomers race at Chilivani in Italy.

The filly was one of three runners in the race by her sire, who stands  at Razza Emiliana in Italy for €3,500. Another representative, Epicurea, took third.

Bred by Az Ag Rz Emiliana Srl, Secretry In Black is the second foal and winner out of the unraced Spy Queen following Scapuzzeddu. By Spymaster, Spy Queen is a half-sister to the Listed-winning Italian miler Corbetta.
