First winner for
Derby hero Sir Percy

SIR Percy was represented by his first winner on Monday when Percy Jackson, a first runner for the sire, made a smooth winning debut at Bath.

Bred by Clive Dennett, the colt is a half-brother to three winners and out of Fly In Style, an unraced daughter of Hernando. Percy Jackson was retained for just 3,800gns as a foal and snapped up by trainer Denis Coakley for 6,000gns at the Tattersalls October Sale.

Sir Percy retired to Lanwades Stud in Newmarket as the winner of five races including the Dewhurst Stakes and Derby. The son of Mark Of Esteem is standing this season for £6,000.
