First stakes winner
for Fastnet Rock

COOLMORE'S Fastnet Rock sired his first Group winner on Saturday when Wanted won the Group 3 Kindergarten Stakes at Randwick in Australia.

The two-year-old colt was bred by Highgrove Stud and R. T. Gilbert and is out the Listed winner Fragmentation, a daughter of Snippets. He was one of two colts by Fastnet Rock to sell for A$800,000 as a yearling last year.

Wanted's win has propelled Fastnet Rock to pole position in the Australian first season sires' list. The Group 1-winning son of Danehill is also the sire of three other stakes performers. He was the busiest stallion standing in Australia this season, covering  248 mares at a fee of A$82,500.
