First foal for Lockinge winner Creachadoir
CREACHADOIR, winner of the Lockinge Stakes in 2008, has his first reported foal on the ground.
The new arrival is a bay filly described as a "big strong filly with quality" by owner Thierry de la Herroniere. She was born at Haras d'Ellon on February 2.
She is out of the Woodman mare Napeta, who has produced two winners and is herself a daughter of Group 3 performer Blue Burgee. They are from the family of Creachadoir's own paternal grandsire, Kingmambo.
At three Creachadoir landed a trio of Group 3s - the Leopardstown 2,000 Guineas Trial, the Tetrarch Stakes and Joel Stakes - aswell as finishing second in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains, Irish 2,000 Guineas and Hong Kong Mile.
The following season he beat Phoenix Tower and Tariq into the places in the Lockinge.
Creachadoir is by Workforce's sire King's Best and is a half-brother to top-class middle distance performer Youmzain.
Creachadoir stands at the Haras du Logis in Normandy at a fee of €3,000. He covered 110 mares during his first season at stud.
