First foal for Grand Prix de Paris winner Zambezi

THE first foal of Grand Prix de Paris winner Zambezi Sun, who stands at the Haras de la Hetraie,  has been  foaled at the Haras de la Barbottiere.

 Bred by Juddmonte, Zambezi Sun won three of his first four starts including the Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris, which followed his fourth place to Lawman in the Prix du Jockey Club. He also won the Prix Foy as a four-year-old.

 A son of Dansili, he is out of the Zafonic mare Imbabala, who also produced Group 2 winner Kalabar.

  The colt foal is owned by Stephane Werle and Sophie Werle out of Prima Note, a winner of two races over hurdles at five years and daughter of Nononito.

 Zambezi Sun stands at a fee of €4,000.
