First foal by Corinthian arrives at Gainesway

THE first foal by Grade 1 Metropolitan Handicap and Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile winnerCorinthian (Pulpit - Multiply by Easy Goer) arrived on Sunday evening at Gainesway Farm.

She is the first foal out of the  Storm Cat mare Sister Kit, who is owned by Gainesway Thoroughbreds. She is a half-sister to the Graded stakes-placed Warrior Girl and is from the female family of the Grade 2 winner Arkadian Hero and Beware Of The Cat, dam of Grade 1 winner Hold That Tiger.

"Corinthian saw a top book of mares in 2008, and if this filly is any indication, breeders will be thrilled with his progeny. She is a most attractive filly, with good leg underneath her, lots of bone and substance andfull of vitality; we are delighted with her,"  reported Gainesway's Michael Hernon.

Corinthian's fee for 2009 is $30,000.
