First Australian
winner for Lion Heart

LION Heart, whose first US crop have accumulated over $1.3m in earnings this season, was represented by his first southern hemisphere winner on Saturday when Double Heart scored on his second start at Eagle Farm in Australia.

Double Heart, who was unsold at A$120,000 at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale, is the first winner out of Sad Eyed Lady, an Eagle Eyed half-sister to Group 1 winner Special Harmony.

Lion Heart is currently serving his fourth season at Coolmore Australia at a fee of A$16,500. He will stand for $20,000 at Ashford Stud in Kentucky next season.
