Finsceal Beo son to stud in County Waterford

FINSCEAL FIOR, the first foal of Newmarket and Curragh 1,000 Guineas heroine Finsceal Beo, will stand at Michael Lenihan's Green Hill Stud in County Waterford this season.

The three-year-old son of Galileo was in training with Jim Bolger but was unable to race due to injury.

Finsceal Beo, a daughter of Mr Greeley, was trained by Bolger to also win the Prix Marcel Boussac and Rockfel Stakes at two.

She narrowly missed out on a famous Guineas treble when she was just a head second to Darjina in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches, and also finished second to Duke Of Marmalade in the Tattersalls Gold Cup.

Rathbarry Stud bred Finsceal Beo out of the Listed-placed Royal Academy mare Musical Treat, who has also produced the stakes performers Frozen Power, Musical Bar and Zabeel Park.

Finsceal Fior will stand at a fee of €4,000 this year.
