Numbers for Fasig's Timonium sale down

THE Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Eastern Fall Yearling Sale, due to be held in Timonium, on October 5 and 6 is significantly downon numbers falling by 28 per cent from the 930 lots which were catalogued in 2008 to 670 for this year's renewal. The sale will be held over two days rather than the three as previously.

"I think there were some mares that weren't bred, and some yearlings didn't show up because their owners knew they weren't going to fit the marketplace and be commercially viable," said Fasig-Tipton chairman Walt Robertson to the
