Flying Zee Stable to disperse stock at Fasig

THE Estate of Carl Lizza Jr's Flying Zee Stable will disperse the vast majority of its bloodstock at Fasig-Tipton auctions this year.

Hidden Brook Farm will conduct the dispersal, beginning with the sale of 40 yearlings being offered on Wednesday, October 26, the final day of Fasig-Tipton's Kentucky Fall Yearling Sale in Lexington.

A catalogue addendum for these yearlings is currently online and print versions will be available on Tuesday, October 11, in Fasig-Tipton offices.

All of the yearlings being offered are registered New York-breds. Leading siresrepresented include Giant's Causeway, Bernardini, Tapit, Lemon Drop Kid, Harlan's Holiday, Speightstown and Holy Bull.

The group also includes several yearlings by Western Expression, who stands at Highcliff Farm in New York and has gained support through the exploits of major stakes winners I Lost My Choo and Stunt Man.

Flying Zee Stables has been represented in 2011 by Graded stakes winners Street Game and Pure Gossip, along with Saratoga Stakes winner Harbor Mist.

Currently, they are one of the top 20 owners in 2011 based on North American earnings. In addition, Flying Zee Stables has been a dominant force in the New York-bred programme through its Highcliff Farm home-breds, as well as auction purchases for many years.

The second phase of the dispersal will include foals, broodmares and horses of racing age, and they will be offered at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic December Mixed Sale in Timonium, Maryland, on December 5.
