Tattersalls Guineas sale catalogue published

TATTERSALLS has released the catalogue for its Guineas breeze-up and horses in training sale on Friday, May 4.

A new horses in training section boasts Group 3 winner Fanunalter, Mary Fildes, who recently finished second in the UAE Oaks, and Group 2-placed Marcret.

The breeze-up has attracted 122 two-year-olds and the catalogue features leading stallions including Acclamation, Danehill Dancer, Exceed And Excel, Invincible Spirit and Oasis Dream while top US sires represented include Bernstein, Distorted Humor, Henny Hughes and Speightstown.

The sale will also give first-season sires such as Curlin, Duke Of Marmalade, Mount Nelson, New Approach, Ramonti, Sakhee's Secret and Street Boss an opportunity to showcase their offspring.

The largest consignment comes from Con Marnane's Bansha House Stables with 16 two-year-olds catalogued while Willie Browne's Mocklershill is represented by nine lots.

The Guineas breeze-up will see all horses breezing from 9am on the day before the sale, and videos of the individual lots breezing will be posted on the Tattersalls website shortly after the breeze.

The sale starts at noon on the Friday, with 65 horses in training followed by 122 two-year-olds in training.

Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said: "We are delighted to reintroduce the Tattersalls Guineas breeze-up sale with an exciting new horses in training section on the eve of the Guineas weekend at Newmarket.

"The Tattersalls Guineas breeze-up has consistently produced top class horses including last season's Group 1 Nunthorpe winner Margot Did and almost 60 per cent of the lots are also eligible for the Racing Post Yearling Bonus Scheme. We look forward to welcoming the usual cosmopolitan mix of buyers to Park Paddocks for the sale."
