sister breaks maiden

FAMOUS, a sister to multiple Group 1 winner Mastercraftsman, broke her maiden at the third time of asking when taking the opening 6f maiden on Thursday's Leopardstown card as the 1/3 favourite.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained daughter of Danehill Dancer topped last year's Goffs Million Sale when selling to Demi O'Byrne for €1m. She was bred by Lynch Bages Ltd and races in the colours of Derrick Smith.

Famous holds a number of notable entries and proved she could hold her own at stakes level last time out when fourth to Long Lashes in the Listed Ballygallon Stud Stakes.

She is the seventh foal out of Starlight Dreams, a winning daughter of Black Tie Affair from the family of Sakhee.

As well as Mastercraftsman, Starlight Dreams is also the dam of smart US miler Genuine Devotion.
