Exciting sire Sixties Icon to shuttle to Argentina

NORMAN Court Stud stallion Sixties Icon, who is making a fine impression with his first crop of two-year-olds, is to shuttle to Ricardo and Nicolas Benedicto's Haras La Pasion, a leading stud farm in Argentina.

The son of Galileo entered quarantine on Wednesday and is scheduled to ship to Argentina within the next 21 to 28 days.

The St Leger hero of 2006 has made a quick start with his first crop of two-year-olds, with six winners from ten runners to his credit. Three of them have already secured black-type led by Woodcote Stakes winner Chilworth Icon.

Sixties Icon stood the past season at Norman Court Stud near Salisbury for £4,500.

He joins a strong roster of stallions at Haras La Pasion, which also welcomes two other exciting recruits for 2012 in leading American sire Successful Appeal and top miler Sidney's Candy.
