First stakes winner
for Ange Gabriel

ANGE Gabriel sired his first stakes winner on Tuesday when Entre Deux Eaux captured the Listed Prix Isonomy at Saint-Cloud for her breeder R. Jesus.

The win marked the third success in 11 starts for the two-year-old filly, who ran third to Stefer on her penultimate start in the Group 3 PrixMiesque.

Ange Gabriel first leapt to prominence when winning a pair of Listed events as a three-year-old.

The son of Kaldounevees went on to stamp himself as a leading middle-distance performer for trainer Eric Libaud by taking two renewals of the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and defeating Aquarelliste in the Hong Kong Vase. He retired as the winner of 12 of 21 starts to Haras du Mesnil in France, where he stood the past season for €3,000.

Entre Deux Eaux is the tenth foal and fifth winner out of Goutte d'Eau. The unplaced daughter of Vacarme is a half-sister to three winners in France including Listed scorer Greyman.
