Electrocutionist, a son of Red Ransom, wins the Dubai World Cup

100th stakes winner for sire Red Ransom

RED Ransom, who died in 2009. had his 100th stakes winner on Friday in Dubai, when Emmrooz won the Jebel Ali Stakes Sponsored By Derrinstown Stud over 1m1f on dirt.

The Vinery stallion, spent five seasons between 2004 and 2008 at Dalham Hall Stud at fees from £25,000 to £35,000, to Australia before becoming a permanent Vinery Australia resident.

The son of Roberto was a speedy but fragile juvenile in the US, and his bestperformers in Europe include Intikhab, Ouqba, Electrocutionist, Sri Pekan, Ransom O'War and Red Clubs. Among his Australian runners is five-time Group 1 winner Typhoon Tracy.
