IMPECCABLY bred five-year-old Coubertin, a Redoute’s Choice half-brother to Group 1 winners Haradasun and Elvstroem, will stand at Greta West Stud in Victoria, Australia, this year.

Coubertin wontwo races over 6-7f before a suspensory ligament injury ended his racing career, and was highly-regarded by his trainer Tony Vasil.

His dam Circles Of Gold won the AJC Oaks and aside from Haradasun and Elvstroem has produced Gold Centre who stands at stud in New Zealand, making Coubertin the fourth son of the Marscay mare to join the stallion ranks.

The family also includes dual Group 1 winner Starspangledbanner, who is likely to join Aiden O’Brien following his next race after being purchased by Coolmore.

Haradasun won the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot for Aidan O'Brien as a five-year-old after racing in Australia for Tony Vasil beforehand.

Coubertin will command a fee of A$4,400 (£2,444/€2,762) in his first season.
