Half-brother to So You Think off the mark

NOW You Know, a half-brother to the outstanding dual hemisphere performer So You Think, added to the family record on Sunday when powering away from the opposition at Sale in Australia to break his maiden over a mile by four lengths.

The three year-old son of French shuttler Elusive City was making his fourth start for Danny O'Brien and came into race off a last start second at Bendigo.

A NZ$260,000 purchase by O'Brien at the 2010 NZB Premier Yearling Sale, Now You Know is the eighth winner from as many foals to race out of Group 2 winner Triassic.

They are headed by So You Think, the winner of eight Group 1 races including two Cox Plates, an Irish Champion Stakes and an Eclipse Stakes. The son of High Chaparral could attempt to round off a productive first season with Aidan O'Brien by tackling the Breeders' Cup Classic on dirt at Churchill Downs later this month.
