Monsun stallion Noroit new to France for 2012

DEMAND for sons of Monsun as jumps stallions appears to be growing on the back of one of the first of them, French National Stud resident Network, getting high-class progeny such as Rubi Light, Saint Are and Sprinter Sacre.

Further proof is French stud Haras de Sivola's recent acquisition of Noroit, another son of Monsun who formerly stood at Gestut Trona in Germany.

Noroit, a 1m4f Group 2 winner in his native Germany, is a half-brother to Group 3 winner Noel from the further family of 2,000 Guineas winer Nebbiolo.

The 15-year-old's oldest crop are five and from few chances has produced a handful of winners.

His fee at Haras de Sivola has been set at €1,000.
