Article Rare keeps
Allez France to the fore

ARTICLE Rare captured the Group 3 Prix des Reservoirs at Deauville today to become the first European stakes winner this season for her sire, the US-based El Prado.

The two-year-old filly is the latest in a long line of stakes winners tracing to the 1974 Arc heroine Allez France, who features as this filly's second dam.

Article Rare is the 15th foal out of Group 3 winner Action Francaise, the highest rated of four foals out of Allez France to reach the racecourse. The daughter of Nureyev has since become a valued member of the Wildenstein broodmare band, producing sevenprevious winners including four - Astorg, Android, Airline and Art Moderne - at stakes level.

Airline has since bred the Grade 1-placed Argentina to Sadler's Wells while Astorg is the dam of Prix Saint-Alary third Asti.
