Eight Belles dam entered in Keeneland November

AWAY, the dam of the ill-fated Eight Belles, has been entered in the Keeneland November breeding stock sale.

The 11-year-old daughter of Dixieland Band is in foal to Eight Belles's sire, Unbridled's Song having produced a colt by Dynaformer this year.

Her yearling filly by Empire Maker sold for $320,000at this year's Keeneland September yearling sale.

Eight Belles won this year's Fantasy Stakes, Honeybee Stakes, and Martha Washington Stakes at Oaklawn Park.
She broke down after finishing second to Big Brown in the Kentucky Derby and was euthanized.

Robert Clay, who owns Three Chimneys Farm in Kentucky, bred Eight Belles in partnership with Serengeti Stable.

Away will be consigned by Three Chimneys Sales and will be offered during the auction's opening session on November 3.
