LEADING American turf sprinter Desert Code will begin his stud career at Harris Farms in Coalinga, California, this year.
The six-year-old son of E Dubai, whose finest hour came when he beat Diabolical to win the inaugural Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint in 2008, was retired from racing last month.
Desert Code also won two Grade 3 races, the Baldwin Stakes and the Affirmed Handicap, at three, and the Grade 3 Daytona Handicap last year.
A $150,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase, he was bred by Classic Star out of the Listed-placed Lost Code mare Chatta Code.
