Listed win for sister to Foret heroine Dedication

DUNKERQUE, a three-year-old sister to 2003 Prix de la Foret winner Dedication, took the scalp of Tiza to win the Listed Prix Contessina at Fontainebleau on Friday.

Owned and bred by Alec Head and trained by his daughter Criquette Head-Maarek, Dunkerque was tasting victory for the third time in her career in the 6f sprint forthree-year-olds and over. The South African-bred Tiza was narrowly beaten into second.

Dunkerque is by Highest Honor and out of the Sillery mare Dissertation, who was twice place in Group 3 races over 7f and 1m at two.
