Shamardal's Prince his latest classic contender

DUBAI PRINCE'S impressive JRA Killavullan Stakes success at Leopardstown on Monday, which unveiled him as a genuine Derby contender, gives his sire Shamardal another exciting prospect for next season after Casamento's Racing Post Trophy win on Saturday.

Shamardal is also the sire of unbeaten French Group 3 winning juvenile French Navy.

The eighth foal of his dam, Desert Frolic, Dubai Prince cost 48,000gns as a foal and is a half-brother to 1m to 1m4f winner Jakarta Jade, who was also Listed-placed, and to Cadre, a 200,000gns son of King's Best who won over 1m at three.

Dubai Prince was bred by Eithne Hamilton, and his dam is a multiple-winning half-sister by Persian Bold to US Grade 1 winner Storming Home.
