Rimth is 23rd Group winner for Oasis Dream

JUDDMONTE stallion sensation Oasis Dream got his first Pattern race winner of 2011 and his 23rd overall on the board on Saturday when daughter Rimth convincingly won the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Stakes (registered as the Fred Darling) at Newbury.

The Paul Cole-trained filly, runner-up to Hooray in the Cheveley Park Stakes, showed a pleasing turn of foot to surge clear and defeat Sharnberry (by Shamardal) by one and a quarter lengths in the 1,000 Guineas trial.

If Rimth does manage to land a Group 1 race, she will join seven other progeny of her sire to do so: Aqlaam, Arcano, Lady Jayne Digby, Midday, Naaqoos, Querari and Tuscan Evening.

Rimth is owned and bred by Denford Stud out of the Efisio mare Dorelia, a 1m winner at three and half-sister to King's Stand Stakes winner Dominica from the family of Nunthorpe winner Ya Malak.

She is one of two winners from two runners in Britain and Ireland by Oasis Dream and out of a mare by Efisio. The other, Mullein, won a Listed race over 6f at four.

Oasis Dream's fee at Juddmonte's Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket this year is £85,000.
