Do It All sparks possibly Stupendous year for dam

DO IT ALL got what could be a big year for his dam off to a good start on Thursday, with a front-running success in the Group 2 Zabeel Mile at Meydan.

Do It All, trained by Saeed Bin Suroor for Godolphin, was bred by Wingsong Farms in America and is the first foal outof the Grade 3-winning Dynaformer mare Stupendous Miss.

Stupendous Miss's progeny have proven very popular in the sales ring, with five-year-old Do It All selling to John Ferguson for $900,000 at the 2008 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga yearling sale, and her second foal, Tales Of Grimm, topping last year's Tattersalls Craven breeze-up sale when bought by Sir Robert Ogden for 320,000gns.

Tales Of Grimm is an intriguing dark horse for this year's big races, as the three-year-old in training with Sir Michael Stoute beat subsequent Fillies' Mile third Firdaws when he won his maiden on his sole start last year.

Do It All and Tales Of Grimm are both by Distorted Humor, a son of Forty Niner who stands at Winstar Farm in Kentucky and has sired 11 Grade 1 winners including last year's Breeders' Cup Classic hero Drosselmeyer, Kentucky Derby winner Funny Cide and National Stakes scorer Pathfork.

Stupendous Miss is from the family of Grade 1 Hollywood Turf Cup winner Storm Trooper and his sister Marillette, who landed the Musidora Stakes in 1993.
