Diamond Green has first winner in Italy

DIAMOND GREEN had his first winner as a sire on Sunday at Firenze in Italy, when Copreopasso took the 6f conditions race.

Copreopasso is out of the Irish-bred Marju mare Fair Weather, a useful performer in Italy who contested the Italian Oaks.

Ballyhane resident Diamond Green has yet to break his duck in Britain and Ireland from 22 attempts, and has not had a runner in France, where he was trained.

The son of Green Desert won all three of his starts at two and was three times a runner-up at Group 1 level over a mile, in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains, Prix du Moulin and the St James's Palace Stakes.
