Desert Blanc to stand along sire in Normandy

DESERT BLANC, winner of this season's Grade 1 Woodford Reserve Manhattan Handicap, will stand alongside his sire Desert Style at Haras du Hoguenet in Normandy next season.

One of six Group or Grade 1 winners by Desert Style, Desert Blanc is already well known to French breeders since he was trained by Pascal Bary to win three races as a three-year-old, including the Listed Prix de Tourgeville at Deauville.

Transferred to Chad Brown, he ran second in the Grade 3 Fort Marcy Handicap before signing off his career with a narrow victory in the Woodford Reserve Manhattan Handicap at Belmont Park.

Out of the placed Indian Ridge mare Lumiere Rouge, Desert Blanc is a half-brother to Listed winner Lumiere Noire.
