Cat Thief to Pennsylvania

BREEDERS' Cup Classic winner Cat Thief will stand at Penn Ridge Farm in Pennsylvania next season following eight years at Overbrook Farm in Kentucky.

The 12-year-old son of Storm Cat will stand for $6,500, a reduction on the $7,000 fee he commanded this season.

In addition to landing the 1999 Breeders' Cup Classic, Cat Thief was also successful in the Grade 1 Swaps Stakes and ran placed in the Kentucky Derby and Breeders' Cup Juvenile.

Cat Thief entered stud in 2001 at a fee of $35,000 and to date,  is the sire of 11 stakes winners including Thethiefatmidnight, a Grade 1 winner in Puerto Rico, and Grade 2 winner Great Intentions.

Joining Cat Thief at Penn Ridge is Grade 1 winner Delaware Township, who will stand for $4,000. The son of Notebook, who has been represented by four stakes winners from four crops of racing age, stood the past season at Land Of Believe Farm in Pennsylvania.
