Death of French National stallion Panoramic

PANORAMIC, sire of Grade 1 winner Tuzla, died on Friday due to a heart attack. The 24-year-old son of Rainbow Quest stood the past season under the French National Stud banner at Haras de la Clayette for €1,200.

Panoramic was a high-class international performer for Sheikh Mohammed and Andre Fabre, winning three races including the 1991 Group 2 Prix d'Harcourt and a Listed race at Longchamp. He also ran a length second to American champion Sky Classic in the Grade 1 Rothmans International.

By far the best horse he sired on the Flat was Grade 1 Ramona Handicap winner Tuzla. He was also a successful sire of jumpers with high-class French representatives such as Mister Mic, Golden Lab, Lareine d'Anjou and Kelvin to his credit.

Bred by Crescent (UK) Ltd in Britain, Panoramic was out of Grade 3 winner Immense and a half-brother to Mariah's Storm, the dam of Giant's Causeway.
