DBS NH Festivals catalogue released
DBS has catalogued 21 horses for the National Hunt Festivals Sale on March 3 at Newbury. It will be the second renewal of the sale, which can already boast a Grade 1-winning graduate in recent Navan Novice Hurdle hero Boston Bob, a £150,000 purchase by Bobby O'Ryan.
The catalogue will be enhanced with the publication of a supplementary catalogue in the days leading up the sale. However, the main catalogue already includes a number of promising horses, including recent Haydock winner Giorgio Quercus, who will be sold with entries in the Byrne Group Plate and Grand Annual Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
A number of point-to-point winners have also been catalogued.
‘The DBS NH Festivals Sale does exactly what it says on the tin - offer purchasers the chance of big race success at a time when the racing world is concentrating on the Cheltenham Festival and, despite being just a year old, the sale has already yielded a Grade 1 winner and has a favourites chance of Cheltenham Festival laterthis year," said Henry Beeby, managing director of DBS.
"What's more, two of the horses offered at this sale have entries at the Cheltenham Festival 2012 and could provide purchasers with a remarkably quick return on their investment!"
Last year's sale saw 14 horses (45 per cent) sell for a total of £900,000. The average was £64,286 while the median came in at £40,500.
