Newbury: the Berkshire course plays host to the DBH NH Festivals Sale

Bumper winner Bhakti a late entry for DBS sale

THE DBS NH Festivals Sale at Newbury on Saturday has attracted a number of late supplementary entries, including Tuesday's Catterick bumper winner Bhakti.

Bhakti, a five-year-old son of Rakti trained by Mark Rimmell, built on two promising runner-up efforts to land the Catterick bumper by a neck.

He goes through the ring as lot 27.

Other supplementary entries include:

Masters Hill (lot 22). A six-yea-old son of Tikkanen who was a ten-length winner of a maiden point-to-point at Farmaclaffley on only his second start.

Safferano (23). A six-year-old son of Saffron Waldon who was the five-length winner of a maiden point-to-point at Bennettsbridge and had been placed on his previous start. 

KingOf The Wolds (24). A five-year-old son of Presenting who won a bumper at Newcastle on his second start with the front two finishing 36 lengths clear of the third. He was also placed third on his latest start when carrying a penalty.

Shotgun Paddy (25). This five-year-old son of Brian Boru comes from the Grade 1-winning family of Patricksnineteenth and was the nine-length winner of a bumper at Thurles.

MoscowPresents (26). A four-year-old son of Presenting who is a three-parts brother to the Grade 2-winning Well Presented and was placed third in a newcomers' bumper at Wetherby on his only start to date.

The sale will startsat on Saturday, folowing the sixth running of the DBS Spring Sales Bumper at Newbury.

The star graduate of last year's DBS NH Festivals Sale at Newbury was Boston Bob, bought by Bobby O'Ryan for £150,000 and subsequently the winner of four races including the Grade 1 Navan Novice Hurdle.
