DBS May sale switch will have"a positive effect"

DONCASTER Bloodstock Sales managing director Henry Beeby is confident that moving the Spring Sale back to its former one-week slot in May  "will have a positive effect."

The auction, which caters for stores and jumps horses in training, has been held in two parts since 2008 with the DBS Spring Horses in Training Sale preceeding the store section by a week.

This year's sale will take place on May 24 to 26 and the horses in training sale will precede the stores.

"We firmly believe that selling the horses in training before the stores is a logical step as it allows owners to sell the proven horses before investing at the store sales and we are confident that the format will have a positive effect," he said.
