DBS January Sale to host Roger Fisher Dispersal
OWNER and relinquished trainer Roger Fisher is to disperse seven horses at the DBS January Sales on the 24 January.
Roger Fisher ended his training license in May 2011 before he sadly passed away at the end of last year.
The dispersal compromises two horses both with proven form and five unraced horses, all consigned by the executors of his estate.
Roger Fisher was best known for his handling of the classy two-mile hurdler Ekbalco in the 1980s.
The offerings include Rare Coincidence (Lot 81A), a winner of 18 races and an ideal dual purpose prospect. The gelding was in training with Alan Berry to go summer jumping before coming back to Roger's yard for a break.
Mystified (81B), a six time winner with form on the flat and jumps. He has been in training with Alan Berry since Roger became ill.
The unraced horses include a four-year-oldby Oscar out of Cailin's Princess (81C). From the immediate family of the Grade 1winning Black Jack Ketchum, this unraced gelding is a half-brother to Celcius, who was highly regarded by Alan King before suffering a fatal injury. He has been in light training.
Four-year-old by Presenting out of Reverse Swing (81D). A son of the leading NH sire who comes from a family full of decent NH winners. Thought to be a chaser in the making and he has been in light training.
Four-year-old by King's Best out of Moonlight Paradise (81E). A scopey gelding from a good family who has been in light training.
Three-year-old by Tiger Hill out of Pocket Book (81F). A dual purpose prospect who has been in light training, this three year old is a half-brother to a black-type sprinter.
Three-year-old by Diamond Green out of Belle Child (81G). The horse is unraced and didn't go into due to Roger's illness. He has been in light training.
The Supplementary Catalogue also contains four additional entries that include: Good Faloue (89), Final Delivery (114), Encore un Fois (115) and Zamina (116).
