DONCASTER Bloodstock Sales has unveiled a catalogue of 494 horses for its Premier yearling sale on August 29 and 30.

Acclamation, Dubawi, Exceed And Excel, Holy Roman Emperor, Invincible Spirit and Pivotal are among the premier-league stallions with progeny on offer, while Aqlaam, Archipenko, Art Connoisseur, Bushranger, Captain Gerrard, Champs Elysees, Major Cadeaux, Mastercraftsman, US Ranger, Virtual and Winker Watson are among the first-crop yearling sires represented in the catalogue.

Lots with the most persuasive credentials on paper include an Oratorio half-brother to Lowther Stakes winner Flashy Wings and a Kheleyf half-brother to Group 3 scorer Enforcer.

Stowell Hill Stud is set to present a Dubawi half-brother to last month's Norfolk Stakes runner-up Gale Force Ten, who topped last year's DBS Premier yearling sale when bought by Eddie Fitzpatrick of Coolmore for £280,000.

Other highflying Premier yearling sale graduates are Prix Robert Papin winner Reckless Abandon, who beat Gale Force Ten in the Norfolk, Superlative Stakes winner Olympic Glory and Cherry Hinton Stakes winner Sendmylovetorose.

DBS managing director Henry Beeby said: "Premier without the Premium is the reputation that has been forged for this sale in recent years and the successes of Olympic Glory, Reckless Abandon and Sendmylovetorose are three typical examples that make this point.

"But these 2012 winners are not unique and follow in the footsteps of other DBS Champions including Canford Cliffs, Cockney Rebel, Dark Angel, Dutch Art, Excelebration, Excellent Art, Gilt Edge Girl, La Collina, Sole Power, Strong Suit, Wootton Bassett and so on.

"This sale has a proven formula that has worked since Right Tack won both the English and Irish 2,000 Guineas in 1969 and these winners are exactly what the DBS inspection team have in their minds as we work with breeders to provide the best selection of future stars at each year.

"With this in mind I'm sure you will agree that, following the outstanding sale that we held in 2011, vendors have raised the bar once again by offering the very best for some time, both in terms of pedigree and individual, and this will enable the Premier Sales roll of honour to continue for many years to come, both on the racecourse and in the breeding sheds.'"
