Henny Hughes sold to stand at Rangeview Stud

DARLEY stallion Henny Hughes will stand the upcoming southern hemisphere season in Western Australia when he shuttles from Kentucky later this year.

The son of Hennessy will stand his fifth season in Australia at Rangeview Stud after four seasons shuttling for Darley to New South Wales. A fee of A$7,700 has been set.

Henny Hughes commenced stud duties in the US in 2007 and his oldest northern hemisphere progeny are now four-year-olds while his first Australian crop is racing this season.

From 16 Australian runners to date he has sired seven winners.

Among his Australian runners are the stakes-placed Lil Red Corvette and recent Rosehill winner Hurricane Henny.

He has sired six stakes winners and 17 black-type performers in the northern hemisphere among a total of 104 individual winners from 165 runners.

Henny Hughes is by renowned speed source Hennessy and won six of his ten starts including the Grade 1 Vosburgh Stakes and Grade 1 King's Bishop Stakes.
