Darley reshuffle as Tait moves to Newmarket

SHEIKH Mohammed's Darley breeding operation has undergone a management re-shuffle with the news that its chief operating officer Olly Tait will now be based in Newmarket having moved from America.

"He will continue to do what he is doing in America and our other studs around the world but his desk will be in Newmarket to help me share the workload," said Sheikh Mohammed's bloodstock advisor John Ferguson on Thursday. "He has worked for Darley in Australia, Japan, and America and has a wealth of international experience."

Tait took over as chief operating officer at Darley USA in November 2008 following the move of Dan Pride to the Fasig-Tipton sales company.

He had previously worked for Darley in Australia and helped oversee Sheikh Mohammed's Aus$500 million purchase of Woodlands Farm and its bloodstock from the Ingham family.
