Dark Angel: Morrinstown Lattin's stallion got a new winner today



Successes by first-season sires at Newmarket and Pontefract

FIRST-SEASON sires Dark Angel and Three Valleys have got off to a good start at Pontefract and Newmarket today.

Glamorous Angel, a son of Dark Angel, took the first at Pontefract, the EBF maiden, a third racecourse appearance for the colt. He is a half-brother to the Sapphire Stakes (G3) winner Glamorous Spirit and was bought by Dwayne Woods for 105,000gns on behalf of his brother Sean Woods at the Craven Breeze-Up Sale from Bansha House Stables. Con Marnane purchased the colt as a yearling for €35,000 at the SGA Italian sale.

Dark Angel has now had 20 winners, and is second winners-wise to Dutch Art and Red Clubs, who have both had 22 winners.

The son of Acclamation has nine entries at the Goffs Orby Sale next week, and 12 at the Tattersalls October sale

Three Valleys, Cheveley Park Stud's first-season stallion, was responsible for the winner of the second at Newmarket, That's Dangerous, who was sucessful in the Avivia Commerical Finance Nursery.

It was a second success for the colt, who has run seven times. Three Valleys has had five winners and has seven in the October sale
