Uate a first Group winner for Ad Valorem

DARLEY Australia sire Ad Valorem put a first Group winner on the board on Saturday when juvenile Uate, his first southern hemisphere crop, took the Group 3 Jim Beam Skyline Stakes over 6f at Warwick Farm.

The Middle Park and Queen Anne Stakes winner Ad Valorem stood at Coolmore Stud for four seasons while also shuttling to Australia when owned jointly by Coolmore and Woodlands Stud. The nine-year-old son of Danzig will now remain in Australia.

Ad Valorem's first European crop included Italian Listed winner Samaden and Rigolleto, who was third in the Listed Silver Tankard Stakes at Pontefract.
