Father Time and Ivan Denisovich to Chile

GROUP 2 winner Father Time has been sold by Juddmonte Farms to stand at Haras Santa Ellardia in Chile in a deal brokered by McKeever Bloodstock. The four-year-old son of Dansili has been secured on behalf of a consortium of Chilean breeders and will stand alongside champion sire Dushyantor.

Trained by Henry Cecil on behalf of breeder Prince Khalid Abdullah, Father Time enjoyed his finest hour when winning last year's King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot. He also ran several notable races in defeat, including when third in the Great Voltigeur Stakes and fourth to Sunday's Hong Kong Vase winner Mastery in the St Leger.

Father Time hails from one of Juddmonte's most active families as a brother to Criterium de Saint-Cloud winner Passage Of Time from the immediate family of Twice Over.

Joining Father Time in Chile is July Stakes winner Ivan Denisovich, who has been sold by Coolmore to Haras Matancilla.

A Danehill half-brotherto War Chant, Ivan Denisovich has spent each of his four seasons at stud at Coolmore in Ireland, latterly at a fee of €3,000. His first crop of 84 two-year-olds, bred off a fee of €9,000, contain 11 European winners including dual scorer and Listed-placed Premier Clarets and The Four Masters, who ran second in the Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Stakes.

Trained by Aidan O'Brien, Ivan Denisovich was successful in three of 14 starts including the Listed Solonoway Stakes in addition to the July Stakes. He was also an effective performer at Group 1 level, filling the frame in the Prix Morny, St. James's Palace Stakes, Secretariat Stakes and Hollywood Derby.
