Champs Elysees: Juddmonte's brother to excellent studmate Dansili


First foal for Juddmonte sire Champs Elysees

JUDDMONTE stallion Champs Elysees' first foal was born on Monday, out of the operation's maiden mare Shuttle Mission. The bay filly weighed 121lbs.

Champs Elysees, by Danehill out of Hasili, is a brotherto Dansili and Cacique, the former covering this year at a fee of £65,000, while Caciquehas been removed from stud duty owing to fertility problems. His sisters Banks Hill and Intercontinental both won at the top level.

A Group 3 winner at Longchamp over 1m4f at four, Champs Elysees excelled in the North America, where his three Grade 1 victories included the Canadian International at Woodbine.

Champs Elysees also recorded a 1m1f victory at three in France and won the 1m2f Grade 2 San Marcos Stakes at five. He also finished placed over 7f at two.

Shuttle Mission was second on her only start, over 1m4f at Longchamp when trained by Pascal Bary. She is a half-sister to multiple Listed winner and Group 2-placed Kocab.

Champs Elysees' fee remains at £10,000 for 2011.
