Aviate (right) squeezes through on the rail to win the Musidora Stakes



Juddmonte's Musidora winner Oaks favourite

OWNED and bred by Khalid Abdulla, and by his sire Dansili, Aviate became the new favourite for the Oaks after winning the Group 3 Tattersalls Musidora Stakes.

The Juddmonte-bred filly is trained by Henry Cecil and is out of Emplane, a 1m maiden winner at three, and is the seventh foal out of the mare. Dansili is yet to sire the winner of a British Classic.

Her year-older brother Wingwalker won his first two starts asa juvenile before finishing fifth in the Group 3 Somerville Tattersall Stakes, his final start before he died later that year.

Another brother, Early March, raced in France and also won his first two starts, both over 7f including the Group 3 Prix La Rochette. He was also second to Oratorio in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere, with Lawman in third.

Emplane also has a two-year-old by Dansili whois as yet unraced.
