Myboycharlie transferred to Haras du Mezeray

PRIX Morny hero Myboycharlie has been recruited to the stallion roster at the Haras du Mezeray in Normandy.

The six-year-old son of Danetime retired to the National Stud in Newmarket last year and so his first European foals were born this spring.

He will now stand alongside Muhtathir, Naaqoos and Whipper at the French stud in 2012.

Trained by Tommy Stack, Myboycharlie won his first three starts at two, culminating with victory over subsequent 1,000 Guineas heroine Natagora in the Prix Morny.

On his next start that season he finished a creditable third behind New Approach and Rio De La Plata in the National Stakes.

Myboycharlie, out of the Rousillon mare Dulceata, began his northern-hemisphere stallion career last year at the National Stud at a fee of £5,500. He had stood at Vinery in Australia in 2009.

French breeders should be well acquainted with the merits of Myboycharlie's late sire Danetime, as he provided back-to-back Morny winners when Bushranger followed up Myboycharlie's victory in 2008.

Danetime progeny Domingues, Triple Aspect and Utmost Respect have all also won Group races in France.
