transferred to Australia

FORMER Oak Lodge Stud shuttler Viking Ruler has been transferred from Cambridge Stud in New Zealand to Mornmoot Stud in Victoria, Australia.

The son of Danehill, who was successful in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes on the track, spent four seasons from 2005 to 2008 at Oak Lodge Stud in Ireland, during which time he left behind the Listed-placed pair Measurement and Romany Princess.

Viking Ruler has been more successful in his native Australasia, where his best progeny from four full crops of racing age include New Zealand's leading stayer Red Ruler, recent winner of the Group 2 City Of Auckland Cup, and Group 1 Queensland Derby winner Court Ruler.

Viking Ruler's book will be limited to 100 mares and his fee will be announced following the Sydney Easter Sale.
