MEMORY (f Danehill Dancer - Nausicaa by Diesis)

Breeder: Swordlestown Stud

JUST one day after Approve won the Norfolk Stakes for a Highclere Thoroughbred Racing syndicate, Memory carried the organisation's familiar pale blue and dark blue silks to victory in another juvenile Group race at Royal Ascot.

Memory stormed home from the clouds to land the Group 3 Albany Stakes, denying Margot Did (by Exceed And Excel), with American challenger Tiz My Time (becoming the first stakes performer for her freshman sire Sharp Humor) in third.

The Richard Hannon-trained filly, who had won on her debut at Goodwood last month, was bought by Highclere's John Warren for 72,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October yearling sale.

Memory is the latest high-class juvenile off the production line of her sire Danehill Dancer, whose previous progeny includes Again, Alfred Nobel, Mastercraftsman and Royal Ascot legend Choisir. The sire stands at Coolmore for a private fee.

Memory was bred by Swordlestown Stud out of the Diesis mare Nausicaa, a half-sister to Listed-placed Sahib from the family of Group1 performer Generous Rosi.

She is the second winner out of a Diesis mare at Royal Ascot this week, after Royal Hunt Cup winner Invisible Man.

Nausicaa also has a yearling filly by Teofilo and was covered by Kyllachy last year.
